I am an experienced UI/UX and web -designer specializing in User Experience and Interface Design, with a strong passion for accessibility, digital illustration, and the seamless integration of color. I enjoy designing innovative experiences to enhance the lives of users. People’s satisfaction is what drives me to create. I’ve always been on a journey of creativity.        

In 2021 I received a professional degree in Graphic Design and Photography. Currently, I am almost finished with my Bachelor’s studies in Business Information Technology at Laurea University of Applied Sciences.

  • For my Bachelor’s thesis implementation: “User-centered design and the implementation of a digital interactive platform” (https://urn.fi/URN:NBN:fi:amk-2023121838093), I applied the UCD framework and principles in the development of digital services. I assessed the potential of UCD and production processes to enhance digital service development. Additionally, I conducted user research in accordance with ethical standards to ensure fairness, reliability, and respect for users’ rights and privacy. I used WordPress to develop an online forum, focusing on user experience, accessibility, and meeting technical requirements throughout the process.
  • I applied UX design principles and conducted user research in accordance with ethical standards to ensure fair and reliable outcomes in identifying which digital services could be helpful for the inhabitants of Lapinjärvi. The final result was a presentation for LyckanHub, showcasing the findings and recommendations.

Freelancer, Pekka Halonen Academy, Tuusula

I designed visuals for the SAKUstars competition named “Reusing the old is better” (fin. “Vanhassa vara parempi”), which took place on 26th-28th April 2022. My work included designing the event logo, graphic design of the web site (https://sakustars.fi/2022/), and a range of deliverables such as banners, roll-ups, posters, animations, postcards, printings for T-shirts and caps, emblems, stickers and more. The owl I drew was chosen as the competition logo. I used WordPress and Adobe CC 2022 software, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop to complete this project.

Freelancer, Lupita, Järvenpää; DBSWH, Sipoo

During this time, I captured high-quality images, designed visually compelling graphics, and developed and maintained websites. My work allowed me to combine creativity with technical skills to deliver professional digital content and user-friendly web solutions.

As a WordPress website designer, developer, and administrator, I focused on creating customized and user-centric solutions tailored to specific needs. I utilized Adobe CC 2020 software, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, for media projects. My technical framework primarily consisted of Elementor and the Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) plugin, while I also hand-coded unique solutions to meet clients’ requirements.

Arctech Helsinki Shipyard Oy, Helsinki

During this period, I worked as an electrician on a new build boat. My responsibilities included cable routing and various electrical connections. I ensured the proper installation of electrical systems according to technical specifications, contributing to the overall construction of the vessel.

Acron, Novgorod, Russia

I was responsible for product cost planning and analysis, as well as preparing financial calculations. I also reviewed the financial aspects of contracts and developed the company’s business plan. I worked with MS Excel, 1C ERP, and MS Master Data Services systems.

Studies

Laurea University of Applied Sciences

During my Business Information Technology (BIT) studies, I learned how to create user-centered digital services by focusing on application design, development, and testing. The program provided me with practical tools and techniques to ensure high-quality solutions throughout the entire software development lifecycle. I gained hands-on experience through real-world projects and internships with IT companies, which allowed me to apply my skills in a professional setting. The combination of theoretical coursework and practical experience gave me a deep understanding of digital service creation. Additionally, collaborating with industry partners provided valuable insights into current trends and challenges in the field.

Business Information Technology (BIT) -opinnoissa opin muun muassa digitaalisten palvelujen kehittämistä, sovellusten suunnittelua, kehitystä ja testausta. Sain käytännön työkaluja, joiden avulla voin suunnitella asiakaslähtöisiä digitaalisia palveluja ja varmistaa niiden laadun koko ohjelmistokehityksen elinkaaren ajan. Opinnoissa yhdistyivät teoreettiset opintojaksot ja käytännön harjoitukset, kuten työelämäprojektit ja työharjoittelut IT-alan yrityksissä. Työelämäläheinen opetus ja yhteistyö yrityskumppaneiden kanssa antoivat ajankohtaista tietoa alan kehityksestä.

Pekka Halonen Academy, Tuusula

The degree in Media and Visual Expression gave me a strong understanding of the media industry. In the graphic design production specialization, I learned how to create both print and digital media products from start to finish. The program focused on mastering Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PremierePro, and After Effects, and I became highly proficient in these tools over the course of two years of study.

Graafisen suunnittelun tuotanto-osaamisalalla opin luomaan sekä printti- että digimedian tuotteita alusta loppuun. During my AMKoodari studies, I learned a web development, including HTML, CSS, frontend libraries, and usability principles. I gained hands-on experience with programming languages like JavaScript and PHP, as well as software design, testing, and web application development. In the Electrical and Automation Technology basic degree program, I studied the professional skills required for electrical and automation installations, which enable me to work safely and collaboratively in various tasks. I learned to read electrical and automation design documents and perform installations according to the specified requirements. Through this training, I gained the ability to ensure that the final result of the work is safe and meets the established standards.

Sähkö- ja automaatioalan perustutkinnossa opiskelin sähkö- ja automaatioasennuksiin liittyvää ammattitaitoa, jonka avulla pystyn toimimaan turvallisesti ja yhteistyökykyisesti erilaisissa työtehtävissä. Opin lukemaan sähkö- ja automaatioalan suunnitteludokumentteja sekä tekemään asennuksia vaatimusten mukaisesti. Koulutuksen myötä osaan varmistaa, että työn lopputulos on turvallinen ja täyttää sille asetetut vaatimukset.

During my 5 years of studying for a Master of Science in Economics (MSc), I gained a deep understanding of economic theories, methodologies, and their practical applications. I learned how to analyze complex economic data and trends, as well as how to apply various quantitative and qualitative research methods to solve real-world economic problems. The program provided a strong foundation in areas such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, accounting, marketing, and management. I also developed critical skills in financial analysis and business economics. Throughout my studies, I was able to enhance my problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, which are essential for making informed decisions in both the public and private sectors. Additionally, I had the opportunity to work on various case studies, research projects, and internships, which allowed me to apply my knowledge in practical settings.

Viiden vuoden Master of Science in Economics (MSc) -opintojeni aikana sain syvällisen ymmärryksen taloustieteellisistä teorioista, menetelmistä ja niiden käytännön sovelluksista. Opin analysoimaan monimutkaisia taloustieteen tietoja ja trendejä sekä soveltamaan erilaisia määrällisiä ja laadullisia tutkimusmenetelmiä todellisten taloudellisten ongelmien ratkaisemiseen. Ohjelma tarjosi vahvan perustan muun muassa mikrotaloustieteessä, makrotaloustieteessä, kansainvälisessä taloudessa, kirjanpidossa, markkinoinnissa ja johtamisessa. Kehitin myös tärkeitä taitoja taloudellisessa analyysissä ja liiketaloudessa. Opintojeni aikana pystyin parantamaan ongelmanratkaisu-, analyysi- ja viestintätaitojani, jotka ovat olennaisia tietoon perustuvien päätösten tekemisessä sekä julkisella että yksityisellä sektorilla. Lisäksi sain mahdollisuuden työskennellä useiden tapaustutkimusten, tutkimusprojektien ja harjoittelujen parissa, jotka antoivat minulle mahdollisuuden soveltaa oppimaani käytännön tilanteissa.

My passion for UI/UX design grew while developing websites like ‘Graniitti’ and ‘SAKUstars 2022’ for Pekka Halonen Academy, where I prioritized user needs and client goals. I expanded my expertise through Laurea University of Applied Sciences’ Service Design course, collaborating on a project for SATO. I deepened my skills in user-centered design by working on the ‘Lyckan’ project for Lapinjärvi municipality as part of the User-Centered Design of Digital Services course.
